  • Stanley Stolpe suggests "Mirror, Echo, Touch".
    • Technique he had learned for establishing relationship with drug abusers
      • Mirror the sufferer; show the sufferer the good person you see before you
      • Echo what they are saying (not parroting, but demonstrate careful listening with non-judgmental response)
      • Touch the sufferer; shoulder, upper arm; shake hands with your palm up, and coverer gently with other hand
    • Not finding anything relevant with Google search on the three words
