The following are events supported by the NCAC COPE and Climbing Committee:
- 2022-12-01 to 2022-12-02: Bruce W. and Tony W. drive to Camp Mountaineer, Morgantown, WV to check out the site for possible venue for future Climborees.[Click here for images.]
- 2021-01-13 to 14: Alex B., Bruce W., Tony W., and Jim B. take an expedition to Goshen SR to perform aerial survey of potential locations for natural rock climbing on Goshen property. Tony W. inspects COPE course after over a year of being unused.[Click here for images. Need suggestions for captions!]
- 2020-07-18: During Family Camping at Camp WB Synder (and Scouterhorn Training for COVID-19 operations), Bruce W. and daughter set up a slackline. Purpose was to check interest. Response was better than expected! Every family thought slacklining would be a excellend addition to their unit and district program! [Click here for images. Need suggestions for captions!]

- 2014-02-14: Tony W. and James M. attended the 2014 Northeast Region COPE & Climbing Conference at Camp Mattatuck, CT.
- 2013-05-11: Troop 1525 (Patriot District) has COPE session. Intended plan did not survive even the first "encounter" before being changed significantly.
- 2013-04-20/21: GSCNC has COPE session.
- 2012-11-17: Troop 683 (Old Dominion District) has COPE session. "Bond Boot Camp" is a success.
- 2012-10-20: Taste-of-COPE at CWBS Expo. Over 60 youth go on Centipede or Giant's Ladder. Good thing standards do not reference minimum age.
- 2012-09-22: Troop 853 (Old Dominion District) has COPE session. "Heading to North" is a success.
- 2012-08-24/26: Instructor Training at CWBS. Seven facilitators/instructors/directors with 20 students. Good start.
- 2012-07-28/29: Visit Goshen Scout Reservation. Inspect spillway site, learn of challenges with COPE at GSR, meet Bill Evans to discuss maintenance and SOP for COPE, and meet notaries relevant to GSR.
