Sure, it took us 2 DAYS! to get there, but Ohiopyle, PA is DEFINITELY worth the trip! I forget where we camped along the way, but it was close to Ft. Necessity. Cassandra came along. I think because we needed a chase van, somebody needed to volunteer, and it was a great opportunity for some father/daughter bonding time. There's also the possibility the guys didn't want me mucking up their plans for a self-directed rafting opportunity. Outfitter was an Eagle Scout. Boys were all in neoprene (virtual corks). Good time was had by all. Even if Glenn got ejected from his raft (with prejudice). Something about being on the rear when the front gets pulled under water under a rock. Like bending a rubber bar that suddenly straightens out. Sorry to have missed it. At least his crew helped him return to the raft. Another benefit of the trip, Cassandra and I got to visit Ft. Necessity, where we discovered we COULD have camped in their primitive camping area. That would have been so cool, to camp on the spot where George Washington had camped when he was an officer under General Braddock!
