Looking at gate to tower. Hole in the threshold board needs to be cleaned out. The rod is not down far enough to allow right side of gate to align left side. Notice how the peg on the left side (above the hasp) is about 2" lower than corresponding peg on the right side. 04/11/2022 10:54 AM 4.74MB |

Under the "Zap Line" (power line). End of Swinging Log on left. Notice pole is leaning to left. To operate safely, tension should be provided on right. However, since lane must be clear, cannot be permanent. Option suggested by Tim S. (inspector) is to install permanent anchor point on right side of lane (by pine tree). When element is used, connect cable from pole to anchor with turnbuckle. 04/11/2022 02:11 PM 5.61MB |

Looking at pull cords for Giant's Swing. Pull cords are supposed to be secured to pole 12' or higher. Should NOT be secured to pine tree's branches as we see here. Close-up shows Mother Nature has tied half-hitches in several locations. Doubtful we have a ladder high enough, or pole saw long enough. May require climbing to the top of the pole and replacing the pull cord. 04/11/2022 03:07 PM 5.19MB |

Another view of Mother Nature's marlinspike seamanship (knot-tying ability). Toward the top, right of center, you'll notice a greenish line running down and slightly to the left. That's the pull cord. Look at where it disappears in the tree. There is no wad of cord. Only multiple, sequential knots. Challenge for staff. 04/11/2022 03:20 PM 7.78MB |
