On 5 Aug, Abigail Williams, NCAC COPE Director at Camp Post, Goshen Scout Reservation called about damage done to the south west guy of the Giant Swing. A staff member had backed a Jeep Cherokee into one of the stays. Abby said the guy wire vibrated more than the other stays when the Swing was operated. The pictures taken on 6 Aug, were from Abby.
While I (Tony Waisanen) was supporting the Goshen@50 planning committee on 13 Aug, I took the remaining pictures. In my opinion, the cables were all of approximately equally taut; about the same tension on each. Though the guy extended much further than the guy on the same (western) end of the element, I did not observe any tendency to continue to extend. The guy appeared to be firmly resisting any pulling.
Unfortunately, I am unable to find detailed pictures of the western guys prior to 6 Aug 2016. There is a possibility the guys were not embedded to the same depth. The south western guy may have always extended further than the guy on the same end.
